The Kansas City Chiefs take their unbeaten record on the road against the rival Denver Broncos in Week 4. Bold predictions for Patrick Mahomes and Co.

In what has been a tumultuous start to the 2018 NFL season overall, the Kansas City Chiefs have seen little turmoil to this point. Helmed by second-year quarterback and breakout superstar Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs have cruised to a 3-0 start to the year and have looked like possibly the best offense in the NFL.

On Monday Night Football in Week 4, however, they will be tested to a degree they haven’t been to this point. They go on the road to face the Denver Broncos, an AFC West rival. While that might mean that the strong-armed Mahomes could throw it the length of the field in the thin air of Mile High, it also means that he will see the best defense yet in the 2018 season.

Subsequently, this game will be somewhat of a proving ground for the Chiefs on Monday Night Football. They will come in and try to show that their offense can light the world on fire against anyone that comes into their path.

With that in mind, let’s get wild and make some bold predictions about the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4.

3. Sammy Watkins, Tyreek Hill both top 100 yards, score

With Mahomes lighting the NFL on fire through the first three weeks, we’ve seen big-time numbers put up by the Chiefs wide receivers. However, the big focal point for a matchup with the Broncos is that they have the best pair of cornerbacks that Kansas City’s receiving corps has been up against this season, headlined by Chris Harris Jr. and Bradley Roby.

Harris and Roby are undoubtedly talented, but they also don’t have the physical tools that the Chiefs wide receivers do, specifically in regards to Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins. These are two guys that make a living off of explosive plays and have done so against the best in the league. And really, their success on Monday Night Football may not come down to their matchups with cornerbacks.

For as talented as the Denver corners are, their safeties have been lacking quite a bit this season. They are a defense that has been vulnerable to being beaten over the top. That’s quite literally the last thing that you want to hear entering a matchup against Hill and Watkins. The safety play is key to keeping those guys in front of the defense, and I’m not sure that the Broncos are capable of that.

Subsequently, both Hill and Watkins are going to go off in primetime, each notching a 100-yard receiving outing and each finding the end zone at least once on Monday night.
