30. San Francisco 49ers (25)

Losing Jimmy Garoppolo for the season due to a torn ACL was a crushing blow for the San Francisco 49ers when looking at how his presence alone made the team better, and he was going to give them their best chance of competing in the NFC. However, the good news is despite losing Sunday’s game to the Los Angeles Chargers, the 49ers seem capable of getting by while still competing with C.J. Beathard under center.

Talent wise, San Francisco knows that Beathard is nowhere close to being on the same level of Garoppolo, but it was great to see the backup put up quite the battle with Los Angeles, and nearly helped them pull off the upset. By throwing for 298 yards to go along with two touchdowns, the 49ers’ offense seems like they may be in better shape after all with Beathard running the show for the rest of the season.

Playing on the road for three of their first four games hasn’t been easy for San Francisco when seeing how they failed to win a single one, but the good news is they still have plenty of time to turn things around before it’s too late. At least with Beathard showing he can be better than originally expected, the 49ers will still have a fighting chance, even after this tough loss to the Chargers.
