12. Rodgers, Stafford combine for 8 touchdowns

Rivalries in the NFL always seem to bring out the best in teams, and when the Green Bay Packers square off against the Detroit Lions in Week 5, there’s a good chance this will be the case once again. Over the years, the Packers have always been considered one of the favorites in the NFC North, but the Lions make sure football fans don’t forget about them either when seeing the fight they tend to put up year after year.

Nobody needs to explain just how great of a quarterback Aaron Rodgers is, and the fact that he’s been able to win games this year with a hobbled leg when it seemed like his season was over back in Week 1 is truly amazing. As for the Lions, Matthew Stafford has always been the kind of player that makes his teammates around him better as well, and one can only imagine the frustration he’s feeling after watching Detroit let last weekend’s game slip away in a last-second loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Knowing these two teams and their offenses, would anyone be surprised at all if this NFC North battle ended up being a shootout? Combining for eight touchdown passes between Rodgers and Stafford sounds like a stretch, but in reality, it’s already happened for some games in 2018.
