11. Ridley extends surprise touchdown streak

Back in April, there were plenty of football fans that questioned the decision by the Atlanta Falcons to go with Calvin Ridley in the first round of the NFL Draft, mainly because wide receiver wasn’t exactly a major need for the team at the time. Looking back, it seems like the Falcons knew exactly what they were doing when looking at how quickly the rookie wideout has turned things around after failing to catch a single pass in Week 1.

Since the season opener, Ridley has found the end zone a total of six times, and even has five touchdowns over his previous two games, showing just how great of a receiving corps Atlanta has since Julio Jones is also one of the best in the NFL. Even if the argument can be made that the only reason Ridley is producing is due to most defenders focusing their attention on the whereabouts of Jones, Ridley still deserves plenty of credit for handling the pressures that come with being a rookie.

Does this mean Ridley will be able to continue his surprise success in Week 5 when the Falcons hit the road to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers? Heinz Field is never an easy place to play in, and since Atlanta is desperate for a win, Ridley should be on top of his game.
