6. Mahomes tosses first interception of 2018

Leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a key win over the Denver Broncos in Week 4 despite being down 10 points in the second half was unbelievable, but also wasn’t really all that surprising when looking at the kind of year Patrick Mahomes II is putting together. The Chiefs made a bold decision in the offseason when they decided to move on from Alex Smith and get the Mahomes era underway sooner than expected, but the risk has already paid off in a big way.

Through four games, Mahomes has been playing at a MVP level by tossing 14 touchdown passes, and seeing him go without a single interception is even more amazing to see for Kansas City. Of course, it’s highly unlikely that Mahomes will be able to go much longer before that first interception finally occurs, and it could even take place this weekend when they take on one of the league’s top defenses in Jacksonville.

When looking at their ability to provide quarterback pressure, the Jaguars will be another difficult task for Mahomes, and will be looking to do everything in their power to hand him a loss for the first time as the starter. Mahomes had a few close calls against Denver, but that first interception of 2018 seems long overdue for the second-year quarterback.
