5. Rosen earns first career start

Three games is all it took for the Arizona Cardinals to realize that investing all of that money in Sam Bradford was a terrible idea since he’s already been benched in favor of Josh Rosen, who was selected in the first round of April’s draft. Not to make excuses for the Cardinals, but it was easy to understand their desire at first to sign someone like Bradford once Carson Palmer decided to retire, but paying him all of that money was insane.

At least with Rosen, the former UCLA star will be able to get some unexpected experience as a rookie that should benefit in the long run since he’s clearly still a work in progress like most rookie quarterbacks during their first year in the NFL. But after seeing how close Rosen came to leading the Cardinals to a victory in Week 4, it could very well happen this time around when they play the San Francisco 49ers.

Similar to Arizona, San Francisco is dealing with quarterback concerns of their own after losing Jimmy Garoppolo for the season with a torn ACL. With both teams off to poor starts, Rosen is in the perfect position to earn that first career win as a starter in the NFL.
