1. Brees officially sets passing record

Knowing Brees, throwing for 201 yards in front of a national audience on Monday Night Football when taking on the Redskins shouldn’t be trouble at all for the future Hall of Fame quarterback when looking at the weapons he has to work with. The Saints’ defense hasn’t been as reliable as they were in 2017, but when looking at how great Brees and company have been playing on offense so far, at least it’s helped them jump out to a 3-1 start.

Between Washington still being a mystery team when it comes to figuring out if they’re an actual contender to New Orleans having the benefit of playing in front of their own fans, all signs point to Monday being a night to remember for Brees. And when looking at his journey to be in this position to become the NFL’s all-time passing leader while replacing Peyton Manning, there’s no question that Brees will deserve this amazing honor 100 percent.

Most importantly, if Brees ends up breaking the record while leading the Saints to a fourth win in a row, this would make the night that much more special. New Orleans deserves a ton of credit for turning things around since Week 1, and it’s tough to imagine where this team would be if it wasn’t for the presence of Brees under center each week.
