17. McCaffrey catches 10+ passes

Through the first two games, there was a slight concern over the fact that Cam Newton led the Carolina Panthers in both passing and rushing yards since Christian McCaffrey taking on a heavier workload was supposed to take some pressure off the quarterback. Luckily, McCaffrey came up big before the bye week after rushing for 184 yards on 28 carries in a win over the Cincinnati Bengals, making the Panthers feel much better about their ground game.

Back in 2017, Carolina was high on McCaffrey during the NFL Draft when looking at his ability to be used in multiple ways, whether it was a basic runner in the backfield or as a receiver for Newton to drop off a quick pass to. In fact, McCaffrey recording 22 catches over the first three games shows just how special of a player he is on offense, and Carolina will look for him to come up big once again during the team’s meeting with the New York Giants this weekend.

Keep in mind that it was only a few weeks ago in which McCaffrey recorded 14 catches in a single game, and the chances of him reaching double-digits once again in Week 5 seems high. And if this happens, McCaffrey will make plenty of fantasy football owners quite happy.
