Browns replace an injured cornerback

One of the biggest surprises for the Cleveland Browns this season has been the play of cornerback Terrance Mitchell. He showed up to camp and shadowed Jarvis Landry all season and frustrated the star receiver so much that a fight broke out between the two.

That scrappy style of his continued into the regular season as Mitchell frustrated some of the best in the game. He even forced a couple fumbles from New Orleans Saints receiver Michael Thomas.

Sadly, the great season for Mitchell ended too early as he fractured his wrist in Week 4. The Browns have more depth at corner than in recent seasons, but the loss of Mitchell stings and they could consider bolstering the position via trade.

The player who makes the most sense is Jourdan Lewis from the Dallas Cowboys. Lewis is another scrappy player who fights through the whistle. He could be available though since he seems to be lost in the scheme being run by new defensive backs coach Kris Richard.

With Richard now in Dallas, they moved safety Byron Jones to corner and Lewis was then demoted. He could find a new home in Cleveland and provide them a player to soften the blow of losing Mitchell.
