NFL Trade Ideas: 5 Deals that should be made in Week 5

Cowboys trade for a legit receiver
You would be hard pressed to find a team with a more glaring hole at a position than what the Dallas Cowboys currently have at wide receiver. After cutting Dez Bryant in the offseason, they didn’t do a great job of replacing him. While there’s this new idea of re-signing Dez floating around social media, that won’t happen.
The issue with Bryant was less about talent as it was chemistry. He and quarterback Dak Prescott simply could not get on the same page and when a highly emotional player like Bryant isn’t getting the ball as he wants, that causes issues.
All that being said, their current group of Allen Hurns, Michael Gallup, Tavon Austin, and Cole Beasley aren’t getting it done. Yes, they brought back Brice Butler, but he’s not someone defenses have to stay up at night and worry about.
Clearly, this season the Cowboys receivers are a team that will work as a committee. But that committee could stand to improve. One way to do this could be via trade. Players like Kevin White in Chicago or DeVante Parker (if healthy that is) could be options. Both were former first-round picks who were expected to be No. 1 receivers but have yet to meet their potential. A late-round conditional pick would be worth trying to see if they could ever reach their former promise.
Another option could be Mohamed Sanu of the Atlanta Falcons. He’s an underrated pass catcher who excels at hauling in contested passes. He’s got the size they lost in Bryant but has also fallen out of favor some with the Falcons going more to rookie Calvin Ridley.
The Falcons are hurting on defense so the Cowboys could see about moving someone like Jourdan Lewis and a mid-round pick for Sanu.
