As NFL Week 5 approaches, we break down potential players to start and sit on your fantasy football team this week.

If last week taught fantasy football players anything, it’s that we should start all players who play on Thursday nights…or all of the Los Angeles Rams players. We’re still trying to decide which will be more accurate. As we head into Week 5 of the NFL season, we slowly but surely are starting to put our finger on the landscape of the league, both for actual purposes and fantasy reasons.

Le’Veon Bell is expected to be in the Pittsburgh Steelers facility by Week 8, a welcome sign for those of you that opted to take Bell high in your drafts before having to stash or move him. While James Conner owners scramble to find their best solution while Conner is still head-honcho in Pittsburgh, this season has only proved that the unexpected should indeed be expected.

At least that’s what Jared Goff presented to us last week, absolutely bombarding a highly touted Minnesota Vikings defense for 465 yards and five touchdowns. Goff’s performance was surely thought to be the best fantasy output of the week, before Mitch Trubisky stepped on a football field three days later and delivered a whopping 354 yard, six-touchdown performance to earn the right of “highest scorer of the week” in fantasy formats everywhere.

Unfortunately for fantasy owners, Trubisky relaxes at home on his bye week after his strong performance, teasing us until week six to see if he can capitalize off his amazing performance. As for the rest of the players outside of Chicago and Tampa Bay, it’s another grueling week of practice for them, and setting your fantasy line-up for you.

So who should you start and sit in Week 5 for fantasy football? Let’s take a look.
