The Dallas Cowboys take on the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football. Here are five players to watch as they look for their second win in a row.

This Sunday Night, the Dallas Cowboys will head to NRG Stadium for a game against the Houston Texans. Dallas looks to add a second win in as many weeks after their nail-biting finish a week ago when a Brett Maher field goal lifted them over Detroit.

Now they face a Texans team hungry to prove their record isn’t reflective of who they are. Sitting at 1-3, Houston has played teams close and they are also seeing improved play from defensive end J.J. Watt, who is finally healthy after two injury-plagued seasons.

For the Cowboys to win, they will need several players to step up and deliver a big game in the bright lights. Here’s a look at five players to keep an eye on as they shoot for that goal.

5. Leighton Vander Esch, Linebacker

He got what was technically his first start this past Sunday as Sean Lee was unable to go due to injury. That opportunity was huge for Leighton Vander Esch and the first-round rookie didn’t disappoint.

He’s not flashy, but he stands out on the field. That’s because he’s built like a defensive lineman, but still is a very fluid linebacker and finds himself around the ball often.

With Lee once again out this weekend, Dallas will again start Vander Esch along with Jaylon Smith and Damien Wilson. Keep an eye on the rookie to see if he will continue to make strides as a playmaker for the Boys.
