The Green Bay Packers head to Detroit to open up the 2018 season series against their NFC North rivals. Who are the three key players to watch in Week 5?

What’s new? The Green Bay Packers are banged up heading into a Week 5 matchup with the Detroit Lions. The team can never catch a break as it always seems like the injury bug hits this team. Regardless, the Packers are looking to win consecutive games for the first time this season against a very interesting Lions team. To open the season, they were humiliated by a mediocre Jets team. A couple weeks later, they upset the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football.

Last week, the Lions lost on a game-winning field goal against Dallas while the Packers shut out a horrible Buffalo Bills team. For the Lions, this game in Week 5 will likely make or break any chance they may have had in contending this division. If they lose, they drop to 1-4. The odds of winning the division drastically go down.

The Packers look to continue to build off their crucial win last week. Aaron Rodgers is getting healthier each week. In fact, he was taken off the team injury report for the first time since Week 1. However, the Packers have their top three wide receivers — Davante Adams, Randall Cobb, Geronimo Allison — on it. One of the three (Cobb) has already been ruled out for Sunday’s game.

It might be a similar game we saw last week. Where the defense dominates while the offense struggles to get going. Although, the Lions offense is much more potent than the Bills offense.

Here are the three players to watch on the Packers this Sunday against Detroit.
