The Cleveland Browns found themselves in overtime once again, but pulled out a win over the Baltimore Ravens. Three big takeaways from the victory.

It’s almost expected at this point — or so it would seem — that the Cleveland Browns are going to end up playing into overtime. For the third time in just five weeks, Hue Jackson’s team found themselves playing an extra 10 minutes of football. This time, it came as the result of a gritty affair against AFC North rivals, the Baltimore Ravens.

Baker Mayfield, making his second start of his career, got off to a rocky start with an interception early in the first quarter. However, he rebounded in a big way as that would be his only turnover of the day. What’s more, he put the Browns on the board with a touchdown pass to Rashard Higgins. However, this game was largely about defense and special teams.

In regards to the latter, points came at a premium in this game. The touchdown from Mayfield to Higgins was the only trip to the end zone for either team in the game. In regards to the latter, Justin Tucker hit on three field goals on the day while Greg Joseph missed an extra point, hit one field goal in regulation, missed a 55-yarder to tie at the end of regulation, but then redeemed himself with the (albeit ugly) game-winner in overtime.

There wasn’t much pretty from both the Ravens or Browns in this game, but the Joseph field goal after a tumultuous overtime showing that featured several questionable no-calls and bad play-calls gave Cleveland the win to move them to 2-2-1 on the season.

With that, let’s take a look at the three biggest takeaways from the Browns in this Week 5 win.
