Not many people expected the game between the New York Jets and Denver Broncos to go the way of the Jets, but the Jets proved people wrong with a 34-16 victory.

The Denver Broncos landed in the New York metropolitan area Saturday night after playing on Monday Night Football. However, instead of the New York Jets laying an egg like most people expected, the Jets came away with a resounding victory, and the Broncos will have to stew over two losses in six days.

When it comes to the Jets, however, they should feel much better than they did coming off of the opening week victory over the Lions. This game definitely feels different. The Lions weren’t prepared for a rookie who they had no tape on, and that could’ve played a huge factor.

The Jets just took it to the Broncos. The vaunted defense of the Broncos allowed the Jets to rush for 8.5 yards per carry, and if not for a few drops on deep passes, Sam Darnold could’ve had a huge day through the air as well. As it was, he had a good one, and that was despite a low completion percentage.

Four Jets stood out in this game, and let’s take a look at their performances.

4. Robby Anderson

Coming into this game, people were wondering what happened to Robby Anderson. With the exception of one big catch against the Lions, he’s been limited on the stat sheet. He had eight catches for 108 yards and that one touchdown in four games for Gang Green.

He broke out in a big way against the Broncos. Even though he only had three catches, Sam Darnold only had 10 completions, and Anderson tied his second most targets on the season with five. He had 123 yards and two touchdowns, and the 41 yards per reception was a career high in a multiple catch game.
