Green Bay Packers: Player stock report after Week 5 loss

Stock down
Mason Crosby – Mason Crosby clearly was the biggest faller on Sunday, failing to convert an extra point attempt and four field goals, before making his final field goal attempt with just seven seconds remaining in the game. Entering Sunday, Crosby had been 10-of-11 on field goal attempts this season, and 8-of-9 on extra point attempts.
Crosby is the first kicker since Rolf Benirschke in 1980 to miss four field goals and an extra point in the same game, according to ESPN. In fact, it got so bad that he switched cleats after his third missed field goal. Crosby’s confidence may be shaken, but at least he redeemed himself by converting his final attempt — even if it was already too late.
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix – There were several instances where Ha Ha Clinton-Dix looked either lost or like he didn’t care to be on the field at all on Sunday. One play that sticks out was a five-yard touchdown catch by Kenny Golladay, where it looked like Kevin King was counting on having inside help from a safety in the middle of the endzone.
That safety was supposed to be Clinton-Dix. After a number of up-and-down performances this season, Ha Ha may be on his way out in 2019.
Kevin King – King was partially responsible for at least two of the Lions’ touchdowns on Sunday, and could have been to blame for another had Marvin Jones not dropped another on a free play where Green Bay jumped offside. The 2017 second-round pick has had a mediocre start to his sophomore season, along with being injured for the previous two games.
Packers pass-rush – Led by Nick Perry and Clay Matthews, the Packers pass-rush was anything but productive on Sunday. Green Bay may have managed to muster three sacks on the day, but two came from inside linebacker Blake Martinez, while the other came from Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Matthews and Perry looked nonexistent at times, as Stafford never seemed to be out of his comfort zone. You’d expect more from two of the Green Bay’s top five highest-paid players.
