Arizona Cardinals (1-4) at Minnesota Vikings (2-2-1)

Sunday, October 14, 1PM ET

Despite their 1-4 record, the Arizona Cardinals are no slouch. Sure, their offense hasn’t done much this season, but they’ve played some competitive football, evidenced by their first win on Sunday against an underachieving San Francisco 49ers club.

With that said, I don’t think they stand much of a chance against the Minnesota Vikings. Sure, the reigning NFC North champions may have stumbled through the first few games of the 2018 campaign. While that may be the case, Minnesota has been impressive in stretches and is coming off a sweet revenge game against the Eagles.

Hot. Vikings who belong on the trade block right now. light

Kirk Cousins is living up to the hype as the $84 million quarterback. The defense has taken a big step backward from a year ago, but has faced some stiff competition through the first quarter of the season. The absence of Everson Griffen hasn’t helped either. Despite all of that, slowing down Josh Rosen and the Cardinals offense shouldn’t be too tall a task.

Look for the Vikings to get going early, putting pressure on Rosen and delivering on early opportunities on offense. A slow start to the second half will allow the Cardinals to inch back into it, but the final score won’t be indicative of how dominant Minnesota was.

Prediction: Vikings win 28-17
