NFL Power Rankings, Week 6: Rams, Vikings escape with wins
By Randy Gurzi
The Week 6 edition of the 2018 NFL Power Rankings almost was shaken up as the Los Angeles Rams escaped with a close win and the Minnesota Vikings came back to life
Last week, we saw the Kansas City Chiefs escape a close one as they played a divisional rival in the Denver Broncos. Had they lost, it could have shaken things up in our 2018 NFL Power Rankings, and a similar game took place in Week 5.
This time, it was the Los Angeles Rams facing an NFC West foe in the Seattle Seahawks. Like Denver the week before, Seattle was looking for an upset as well as a way to get their slow start in the rearview.
Los Angeles was able to hold on though for the 33-31 win. They had their share of issues in this one, but when push came to shove, they ran the ball for a first down on a fourth-and-one and ran the clock out to move to 5-0.
Another team to escape with a two-point win in Week 5 was the Minnesota Vikings, who moved to 2-2-1 on the season. They’ve had a less than ideal start to the season, but knocking off the defending champions was a huge win for them as it reminded people why they were considered contenders when the season started.
We also saw another win from the Cleveland Browns, as they once again had an opossum sighting before a big home win as they too moved to 2-2-1 on the year.
With all the dust settled, we look at how the Week 6 edition of the 2018 NFL Power Rankings shake out.
