25. New York Jets (31)

The New York Jets were simply impressive on Sunday. They blew up on Monday Night Football in Week 1 and everyone wondered if this team was ready to compete despite starting the very raw Sam Darnold under center. Darnold was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, but he did start just two seasons for USC, which is why it was so impressive to see him play as well as he did in the bright lights of Week 1.

Since then, they dropped three straight games before finally waking up at home against the stellar Denver Broncos defense. A 21-point second quarter is what separated the two teams as running back Isaiah Crowell and receiver Robby Anderson each blew up, especially Crowell who had over 200 yards on the ground.

Crowell ripped off a 77-yard touchdown run and Anderson added a 76-yard touchdown on the following series. That proved to be too much for the Broncos and New York moved to a 2-3 record for the season.

We all knew it would be a season of growth for the Jets. They have many new pieces and they’re trying to build a contender. Darnold still has a lot of growing to do as his completion percentage was ugly, but he did what he needed to do in this one — as did the running game that was on fire.
