The Chicago Bears hope to continue the momentum they gained before their bye week. They take on the now-struggling Miami Dolphins. Here are five players to watch for in the game.

The Chicago Bears‘ bye week may have come at an inopportune time. In Week 4, they put everything together in a blowout win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They just about pitched a perfect game offensively, defensively, and on special teams.

Mitch Trubisky had the game of his life, throwing for six touchdowns (one short of the NFL single-game record), five of them in the first half. He consistently found the open man and threw nearly perfect passes to him.

The defense continued to dominate, led by Khalil Mack. Mack again had a sack and forced fumble, the fourth consecutive week doing so. His teammates performed well, too, recording 4 sacks and 3 interceptions.

Cody Parkey was his usual dependable self, converting all his point after touchdown kicks and making his 2 attempted field goals. It’s good not having to worry about the kicking game after all the missed field goals in the past three seasons.

After finally seeing everything flowing in a game, the Bears had to sit out Week 5. They didn’t have an opportunity to keep the momentum going. Hopefully, however, they can pick up where they left off against Tampa. They hope to do that against a Miami Dolphins team that after starting 3-0, struggled in their past two games, losing them both.

The Bears face their former offensive coordinator Adam Gase. In 2016, he bolted for Miami to be the Dolphins head coach. His team made the playoffs in 2016 but struggled last year due to an injury to their quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Former Bears quarterback took over for Tannehill but led an uninspired offense the same way he did in Chicago.

The Dolphins were a surprise coming out of the gate 3-0. Things changed, though, after they got blown out by division rival New England Patriots and giving up two defensive touchdowns in a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Now the two teams face each other, one team trying to keep their momentum going while the other team trying to get it back.
