NFL Week 6, 2018: 5 Teams on upset alert
By Dan Parzych
3. Los Angeles Chargers
Remember a few years ago when the Cleveland Browns defeated the Los Angeles Chargers to avoid being on the wrong side of NFL history by going the entire season winless? Even if the Browns did make that history the following season, the good news for Hue Jackson is his team has been one of the best stories so far in 2018, sitting at 2-2-1 before Sunday’s meeting with the Chargers.
Expectations were high for Cleveland thanks to a successful offseason that consisted of adding key talent on both sides of the football, but also just because they did a good job didn’t guarantee this season would be successful. Still, it’s crazy to think that with another win on Sunday, the Browns could actually have a record above .500 heading into Week 7, so the Chargers will be feeling plenty of extra pressure.
Plus, Cleveland fans in general have a history of making home games quite the hostile environment for opponents, and Los Angeles could experience some of the same struggles as the Baltimore Ravens this past weekend when it comes to scoring points. After all of those years consisting of struggling, wouldn’t it be wild to see the Browns with a winning record if they come through against the Chargers?
