Chicago Bears: 3 Bold predictions for Week 6 vs. Dolphins
The Chicago Bears travel to Miami to take on the Dolphins, hoping their bye week didn’t ruin the momentum they had after a blowout win. Here are three bold predictions for the game.
The Chicago Bears had a week off to savor their blowout victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Of course, they’re hoping the bye week didn’t kill their momentum. Sitting down after playing a nearly flawless game tends to hold them back.
In a season in which the Bears want to reverse a lot of the negativity surrounding them, playing well after the bye is on the list. They lost their last four games coming out of the bye. This season, traveling to sunny Miami and leaving the cool of Chicago can have an effect on their play.
Hopefully, none of that effects them on Sunday. The Bears should be well rested, and this is a much different team than the previous four. They should be able to play through and beat a struggling team. They’ve already started to show they are different, and winning this game is another way to show it.
Optimistically, we are in the beginning stages of a new era of Chicago Bears football. This could be similar to watching the Chicago Cubs in 2015 break through and begin an era where so far they’ve gone to the playoffs four straight years, won a division title two of the past three seasons, and won a World Series.
In order for that to happen, the Bears need to win games like the one they have this week. They’re coming off a bye and their opponent is struggling and dealing with injuries. This win gets the momentum to really build.
Hopefully, we get to see a victory. Then they get another test when they host the defending AFC champs New England Patriots. For now, though, let’s make three bold predictions on the Bears’ game against the Dolphins.
