Colts vs. Jets: Gang Green can make big step

The New York Jets take on the Colts in a Week 6 matchup, and this game is huge for Gang Green as they try to build of a win with another.

It’s Week 2 all over again for the New York Jets. They’re coming off a win and look to make it back-to-back wins against the Indianapolis Colts. The last time the Jets won consecutive games was Week 5 last season — when it was the third straight win.

After close losses, the Colts lost by two touchdowns to New England last week, and they are trying to turn their bad luck around (no pun intended). The offensive line is improving, and the Colts look to bounce back from three straight losses.

That said, for the first time this season, the Jets walk into a game with the better team on Sunday. The Colts don’t have enough weapons for Andrew Luck that should scare the Jets, and Gang Green’s defense has found a pass rush.

Prediction

The Jets are coming off a huge win, and the Colts are coming off a debilitating loss. The Jets are young and learning how to win, while the Colts just don’t have the talent to win. From a Jets perspective they need this win, not from a playoff perspective, but from a learning how to win perspective, and actually winning this game could go a long way to developing the winning culture and confidence.

New York is further along in their rebuild than the Indianapolis, and this game will ultimately bear that out. Gang Green will ultimately pull away after a close start to this game.
