9. San Francisco 49ers – Mike McGlinchey

The San Francisco 49ers made somewhat of a controversial pick drafting Mike McGlinchey ahead of defensive players Derwin James and Mikah Fitzpatrick. However, he’s proven his worth, especially as a run blocker. In fact, PFF graded McGlinchey the highest rated run blocking tackle of Week 5, as they said the following:

"“Not only did 49ers rookie Mike McGlinchey make our PFF Team of the Week, his 86.4 run blocking grade on the season now ranks No. 1 among all tackles.”"

The former Norte Dame tackle is part of the reason Matt Brieda is averaging a league-leading 7.5 yards per carry. He still has work to do as a pass protector, but his career is starting off promising. There’s no reason to believe that he’s won’t be around for the next decade — barring injury. The 49ers have a building block on their offensive line thanks to McGlinchey’s stellar play.

10. Arizona Cardinals – Josh Rosen

For starters, the Arizona Cardinals weren’t expected to start their rookie first-round pick, Josh Rosen. The $20 million man Sam Bradford was expected to start the season — and he did. Unfortunately, his 0-3 start gave way to Rosen who, like most rookies, struggled in his debut. He went 4-of-7 with an interception in late relief of Bradford. Over the course of the next two games, Rosen has thrown two touchdowns to zero interceptions.

Nonetheless, his yards and completion percentage look horrible over that same span. In his first star,t he threw for 180 yards with 55 percent completion rate and a touchdown. The following week, he tossed the ball for 170 yards with 40 percent completion rate and a score in a win against the 49ers. Unfortunately, he’s technically regressed from week to week. But Rosen has the talent and the football IQ to grow as the season progresses
