The San Francisco 49ers lost to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5, which gives them the No. 1 pick in this 2019 NFL Mock Draft, Week 6 edition

Week 5 of the 2018 NFL season is over and we know there are already many fanbases looking ahead to the offseason with hopes of their team filling some holes. That’s what we look to do here with this first round 2019 NFL Mock Draft.

This week, there’s a new team in the No. 1 spot as the San Francisco 49ers dropped a game against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cards had been occupying that position as they were the lone remaining team without a win.

They notched that victory against their NFC West rivals, who are still struggling mightily with the loss of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo who tore his ACL earlier in the season. Even if Garoppolo had stayed healthy though, this team had many holes to fill.

With that No, 1 overall pick, they could very well address a huge hole on the offensive side of the ball — which is where they will likely go considering how much that side depends on the play of Jimmy G to bring them success. Because of that, we see a non-defensive player go No. 1, which counts as a surprise pick given the talent on defense in the 2019 class.

As is always the case, the order in our 2019 NFL Mock Draft is determined using the latest version of our NFL Spin Zone Weekly Power Rankings, which can be found here.

With all that being said, the San Francisco 49ers are now on the clock with the No. 1 overall pick.
