The Green Bay Packers return home for a Monday Night Football showdown with the San Francisco 49ers. Who are three players to watch as the team looks to end the first half of the season on a high note?

The Green Bay Packers need to act like this is a playoff game. There is nothing bigger than heading into your bye. The Packers need any momentum they can get right now, and a win would definitely give them some. After the bye week, it gets a lot tougher. They only have two home games between now and the beginning of December.

Mid-October through the end of November will be the defining point of the 2018 season, it will tell us if the Packers will contend this year or not. That all starts with what is a must-win this Monday night.

When the schedule makers made this game, the hope was we would see an intriguing matchup between the present in Aaron Rodgers and the future in Jimmy Garoppolo. It was a game many fans had circled on their calendars. However, Jimmy G tore his ACL, ending his 2018 season. It’s really a shame because this was one of the most intriguing matchups this season.

The 49ers starting running back they acquired in free agency, Jerick McKinnon, also tore his ACL before the season started. That leaves San Fran without their franchise quarterback and No. 1 running back for this game, and the rest of the season.

It cannot be stressed enough how much the Packers need to capitalize on the unfortunate injuries and win this game. Who are three players to watch as they go for the win?
