Los Angeles Rams (6-0) at San Francisco 49ers (1-4)
Sunday, October 21, 4:25PM ET
I’d like to pretend the San Francisco 49ers have a shot in this one. It would make for a much more interesting game on Sunday. Unfortunately, that’s probably not going to be the case.
Right now, these two teams are on completely different worlds. The Los Angeles Rams are riding a massive wave of momentum, heading into Week 7 as the only remaining undefeated and looking like the favorite Super Bowl contender in the NFC. It’s all good down in Hollywood.
Unfortunately, we can’t say the same for the 49ers. They don’t have their franchise quarterback, Matt Breida is hurt and the defense is a mess. After coming into the season looking like a near lock for the playoffs, just about everything that could go wrong has gone wrong. A showdown with the Rams, even at home, will provide no relief for Kyle Shanahan and his squad.
You can only hope that the 49ers make it an interesting game on Sunday afternoon. Chances are, though, that this one is over by halftime. Maybe the score looks less lopsided after the Rams pull their starters, but it should be an easy win for Los Angeles regardless.
Prediction: Rams win 38-21
