Here are the 2018 NFL Power Rankings heading into Week 7, with the New England Patriots handing the Kansas City Chiefs their first loss.

Thanks to their undefeated record heading into Sunday night’s meeting with the New England Patriots, the Kansas City Chiefs have become quite comfortable being near the top of the 2018 NFL Power Rankings along with the Los Angeles Rams. However, with the Chiefs suffering their first loss of the season in a shootout with the Patriots, it looks like there’s going to be a little bit of a shake up with the NFL Power Rankings heading into Week 7.

Heading into the contest, Kansas City knew playing in Foxborough was going to be one of their biggest challenges to date since Tom Brady and company have a history of playing some of their best football in front of the home crowd. And even though there were a few occasions in which it seemed like the Chiefs were going to escape with the win, the Patriots showed once again why they’re always a strong contender in the AFC to make a run at the Super Bowl.

By handing Kansas City their first loss of 2018, New England has found another way to make a huge statement, and seems to be getting better by the week since they finally seem to have reliable receiving corps, highlighted by the return of Julian Edelman from his suspension. As for what this means for the Chiefs and Patriots in the latest rankings for Week 7, well let’s jump right into it once again, starting off with the 1-4 San Francisco 49ers, who will be facing the Green Bay Packers on Monday night.
