Fantasy Football 2018: Waiver wire targets for Week 7
By Donnie Druin
If your fantasy football lineup needs a boost heading into Week 7, be sure to grab one of these waiver-wire targets to help bolster your roster.
Another tough week of deciding matchups and navigating bye weeks is upon fantasy football owners. Week 6 of the NFL season brought many surprises. Who saw Albert Wilson and Marquise Goodwin outperforming Julio Jones and Antonio Brown? Latavius Murray played himself into quite the fantasy outing via a Dalvin Cook injury, while Jordan Howard’s stock continues to plummet by the week.
As previously mentioned, navigating bye-weeks have now become common place in our fantasy football season. From Weeks 7-11, at least four teams will see themselves on bye, with Weeks 9 and 11 touting six teams.
Week 7 plays host to the bye weeks of the Steelers, Seahawks, Raiders and Packers. This can be problematic for owners with stocks in players such as James Conner, Aaron Rodgers and Amari Cooper. For Le’Veon Bell owners, hope rests on the shoulders of Bell walking into the facility within the next few weeks, despite Bell’s self-induced bye weeks coming in the first half of the season.
In last week’s waiver-wire suggestions, guys like Christian Kirk (13 points), Jameis Winston (38 points) and Austin Hooper (22 points) all proved to be great pick-ups for last week’s contests. Who will you find this week off the waiver-wire?
As the trade deadlines draw nearer and playoffs are on the horizon, utilizing the waivers remains one of the top ways to keep your team primed from week to week. With that, let’s get into the Week 7 fantasy football waiver-wire targets.
