Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen could be out 2-4 weeks due to an elbow injury sustained during the game versus the Houston Texans.

The struggles continue for the Buffalo Bills after a 13-20 loss against the Houston Texans on Sunday. Buffalo had a hard time moving the ball against Houston’s defense during the entire first half, but the Bills defense kept them in the game with much-needed turnovers.

A loss is never a good feeling to carry with a team, but the real sting is losing rookie quarterback Josh Allen in the third quarter.

In a bizarre turn of events, Allen targeted his receiver only to clutch his elbow after the play in pain. His release caused immense pain to shoot through his throwing arm and Allen immediately was rushed to the sideline and was replaced with quarterback Nathan Peterman.

To answer everyone’s question: yes, the same Nate Peterman who got benched in Week 1 after being completely ridiculed by the Baltimore Ravens with a 3-47 loss.

The bad news keeps on coming in Buffalo as Allen went in for a second opinion on his elbow and told that he must sit out a minimum of two games. Even after resting his elbow for the next two weeks, Allen’s return looks very questionable. Head coach Sean McDermott wants to go forward with Peterman under center, which could be the scariest thing for Bills’ fans to hear during this Halloween season.

Buffalo’s seventh-round quarterback from the 2017 draft has a reputation of throwing interceptions in the NFL. In fact, over 11 percent of Peterman’s pass attempts have resulted in an interception during his short time on the field.

After only playing two games, Peterman has a total of 85 passing yards, four interceptions, one touchdown, and a QB rating of 16.7. Statistics like that makes Jay Cutler look ready to come back out of retirement.

The Bills will need to rely on their defense to keep them in the games. Buffalo currently leads the league in most turnovers, which has contributed greatly towards their two wins so far. Peterman will need to improve on his decision-making to ensure he isn’t turning the ball over as many times as Buffalo’s defense. McDermott feels secure that whoever he places on the field is the right man for the job. Hopefully, for his sake, he doesn’t regret that decision in the next couple of weeks.
