12. Michel’s touchdown streak ends

The New England Patriots have a history over the years of riding the hot hand at running back since they were lucky enough to work with plenty of talented players. And while that has been the case so far once again in 2018 for the defending AFC champions, rookie Sony Michel is making a strong case for himself to be the top option on offense.

Taken towards the end of the first round of April’s draft, the former Georgia star was one of those players in which nobody knew what to expect since Michel was going to be joining a crowded backfield. But when looking at the impact Michel has made in recent weeks by finding the end zone three games in a row, it looks like New England has quite the special addition in the backfield who is hopefully only going to get better with experience.

With that being said, it will be interesting to see how Michel and the rest of the Patriots matchup this weekend when facing a tough battle against a top defense in the Bears. Michel’s touchdown streak has been impressive to watch in recent weeks, but unfortunately in sports, all good things must come to an end at some point.
