One of the league’s best offenses is coming to town, and three New York Jets are going to have to step up to win this game.

Another test is coming to MetLife Stadium this as the Minnesota Vikings come to town to face the New York Jets. This is a great offense, but the defense has slipped a little from last season.

This game may represent the second-toughest opponent remaining on the Jets schedule in 2018. That said, there are some areas that the Jets can exploit to take home a victory, a three-game winning streak, and a record above .500 for the first time since the end of Week 5 last season.

Coming into the season, most people probably saw the Vikings on the schedule and chalked this game as a loss. However, this has become a very winnable game for the Jets, especially since it’s at home.

So, who has to step up for the Jets to be successful against the Vikings?

3. Jamal Adams

According to Matt Stypulkoski of NJ.com, Jamal Adams had a two-word answer when asked about his performance against the Colts during the Week 6 matchup, “I sucked.” That’s very clear and concise as to what he thought about his own performance.

The second-years safety got beat by the Colts tight ends a few times in that game, and he’s going to have to step up his game, because he may have to cover some of the best wide receivers in the game against the Vikings.

Also, Adams may be a force in the Jets continued turnover machine. Through six games the Jets have forced 15 takeaways, and Adams has two forced fumbles. Given the Vikings have six lost fumbles already this season, this could be a redemption game for the second-year safety. Since the biggest culprit of the Vikings is Kirk Cousins, if Adams can get in the backfield, he can be the disruptive force.
