1. Saquon Barkley, RB

No matter what record the Giants end up with this year, one player that is must-watch TV (or in person) is the sensational rookie halfback. The Penn State product is coming off producing 229 yards from scrimmage against the Eagles and is quickly turning into the leading candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

The Bronx, NY native ranks second in the NFL in yards from scrimmage (811), trailing only the great Todd Gurley of the Los Angeles Rams. Barkley is averaging 5.2 yards per carry, 9.3 yards per reception and one touchdown per game as well (6). He paces all running backs in receptions with 40. He is a game-changer, a player (much like Beckham) that can break open a game at any time with his combination of superior speed, power and athleticism.

His matchup with the Falcons is a good one. Atlanta ranks 24th overall in rush defense, allowing 121.3 yards per contest. They also are a dismal 29th in the league in passing yards allowed (295.8 yards per game). Not only that but the Falcons rank next to last in scoring defense (32.0 points per game). They are a brutal defensive team. Big Blue must take advantage of that.

If New York’s offensive line can step up and give Eli Manning time to throw and open some holes for Barkley at the point of attack, the former Nittany Lion star can enjoy his greatest game to date. That is saying something considering how terrific he has been already. He’s one player that you simply have to watch perform because he is so exciting, dynamic and productive.
