Panthers grind Eagles to keep pace in NFC South

Fly Eagles Fly is the mantra of the Eagles fans, and Superman is coming into town. Cam Newton and the Panthers are going to ground the Eagles.

Despite a win against the Giants last week, the Eagles three wins are all against teams that enter Week 7 as sub-.500 teams. So, even though it’s the NFL, they’ve yet to beat a good team, and it’s not going to start this week.

The easiest road to the Super Bowl is winning the division and getting a first round Bye. Coming into Week 7, the Panthers are one game behind in the NFC South, and it’s undoubtedly a two-team race for that division. Given the state of the NFC, both the Saints and Panthers will likely make the playoffs, and the winner of the division would likely get the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs.

On top of all this, they’re playing the reigning Super Bowl champs. The Eagles are the measuring stick. So, that means they’re going to get the best game possible from the Panthers. The Eagles aren’t the same team from last year and are falling rather than soaring. The Panthers will win this game on the ground going away.
