On Sunday afternoon at Wembley Stadium, the Los Angeles Chargers held off the Tennessee Titans. Who were the bright spots for the Bolts in London?

In some ways, the Los Angeles Chargers have been their own worst enemy in recent seasons. The team’s penchant for slow starts has severely hurt their playoff chances and it is one of many reasons the club hasn’t reached the postseason since 2013. This year, the Bolts stumbled out of the gates at home against the Kansas City Chiefs and two weeks later, fell to the Los Angeles Rams.

But there’s been nothing but wins ever since. And at 4-2, Anthony Lynn’s club is now just one game behind the Chiefs in the AFC West. Entering Sunday’s tilt with the Tennessee Titans at London, veteran quarterback Philip Rivers had settled in nicely, completing 68.6 percent of his passes for 1,702 yards and five times as many touchdown passes (15) as interceptions (3).

Running back Melvin Gordon has already rolled up 745 yards from scrimmage, nine touchdowns and a pair of two-point conversions. But the talented performer would be a late scratch on Sunday morning as game time approached.

When it was all said and done, the Chargers held on for a thrilling 20-19 victory and handed the Titans their third consecutive loss. It came down to Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel and his decision to go for the win via a two-point conversion in the closing seconds. Meanwhile, the Bolts won their fourth straight game and raised their record to 5-2. So who stood out for Lynn’s squad?
