Three bold predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles in their big Week 7 matchup with the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon.

The big question in the NFL this season is whether the defending Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles can recover from their Super Bowl hangover. After shocking the world in last season, the Eagles have shocked many again this season by playing poorly and looking like a team that may not make the playoffs.

After six weeks of the 2018 NFL season, Philly sits at 3-3. The 3-3 record is unfamiliar territory for this Eagles roster, but they will look to build off of their dominant Week 6 victory over the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football.

Quarterback Carson Wentz is back from his torn ACL that ended his season last year and he has looked phenomenal in his four starts. Wentz was the frontrunner for NFL MVP last year before his injury and he is somehow playing even better this year. Even with his offensive line playing poorly, Wentz has been able to use his elite pocket ability to make things happen and lead the Eagles to victory.

One big problem for the Eagles this season has been injuries. They have already lost three key starters to injuries, with deep threat Mike Wallace, starting running back Jay Ajayi, and starting free safety Rodney McLeod. All three injuries were significant for the Eagles, but they have shown that the next man up mentality can still win them a Super Bowl.

Philly needs to beat Carolina if they are going to show they are a playoff team and ready to get back into that discussion. Here are three bold predictions for their Week 7 matchup with the Panthers.
