The Dallas Cowboys lost their fourth game of the season on Sunday, but even in defeat some players did stand out in Week 7.

There wasn’t anything to celebrate on Sunday when the Dallas Cowboys lost to the Washington Redskins following a missed 52-yard field goal by Brett Maher, but let’s be honest, the Cowboys didn’t play well enough to win the game, even with some questionable penalties, non-calls and the aforementioned field goal miss.

It is quite simple, the Cowboys under performed on Sunday and they’ve underachieved for most of this season, as the offense still hasn’t reached the level of consistency needed to be champions in the division, must less the conference or league.

Though the Cowboys have yet to win consecutive games all season, there were still a few bright spots to help ease the pain of seeing the offensive line not play great, or the fact that Ezekiel Elliott was held to 33 yards on 15 carries for a 2.2 yards per carry average.

The bright spot for some of the game was seeing Sean Lee back on the field after missing the past three games. Lee finished with six total tackles in his return as he is sharing time with rookie Leighton Vander Esch who totaled four tackles.

Again, this wasn’t a solid game played by the Cowboys on Sunday. In fact coming off how they dominated the Jacksonville Jaguars the previous week, the Cowboys should take a close look at themselves this upcoming bye week and see where they can improve because not much is working now on a consistent basis.

Here are some positives from the loss as the following three players stood out on Sunday.
