31. San Francisco 49ers (32)

Yes, the San Francisco 49ers were terrible in Week 7, but still moved up slightly in the 2018 NFL Power Rankings. The reason for that is they were ranked No. 32 last week before playing their Monday Night Football game, and they were great in that one. They ended up losing to the Green Bay Packers, but the way they moved the ball on offense was incredibly impressive and gave them hope going forward.

That hope was dashed as they faced the last remaining undefeated team in the NFL, the Los Angeles Rams. They were beaten badly by a score of 39-10 and nothing stood out as being good for them. C.J. Beathard was 15-of-27 with just 170 yards passing and had three turnovers (two picks and a fumble). He’s a far cry from what they had in Jimmy Garoppolo.

Their running game is also nothing to get too excited about and the Niners aren’t even sure who to give the most carries to. The only thing that saves them from being the worst team right now is how bad another team in their division — the Arizona Cardinals — is playing. The good news to take out of this season for the 49ers would have to be the fact they can get Garoppolo just about any weapon they want in the 2019 NFL Draft.
