Wide Receivers

Danny Amendola at Houston

2018 stats: 30 receptions, 294 yards, 1 TD
ESPN Ownership: 24.4 percent

Danny Amendola has remained mostly quiet for his 2018 campaign, yet has seen recent success the last two weeks. Amendola is coming off his best game yet, catching six balls for 84 yards and a score in the loss against a tough Detroit secondary. It’s clear Amendola is benefiting from Brock Osweiler’s presence, and will look to continue that trend on a short turnaround as the Dolphins travel to Houston to play on Thursday Night Football.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting Albert Wilson might be done for the season with a hip injury, and with DeVante Parker potentially on the way out, the road ahead for Amendola looks bright. Combine the above factors with Miami likely needing to play catch-up in a lot of games, Amendola could be a big pay-off on the waivers.

Geronimo Allison at Los Angeles Rams

2018 stats: 19 receptions, 289 yards, 2 TDs
ESPN Ownership: 37.3 percent

Geronimo Allison was one of the hottest names in fantasy football coming into 2018, yet Allison has not played in the Packers last two contests with a hamstring injury. Allison fortunately finds himself coming off a bye-week and looks to be ready for a high scoring game as the Packers travel to LA to take on the Rams.

Allison, before the hamstring injury, had scored double digit points in four straight contests. Los Angeles doesn’t exactly provide opposing receivers with great opportunities (9th in passing yards allowed per game), yet Allison has built a solid rapport with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Due to the games expected high-scoring nature, I like Allison’s chances of continuing his double-digit fantasy production with Rodgers tossing him the football.
