Round 6, Pick 25: Rashard Lawrence, DT, LSU

Though the Raiders took both Maurice Hurst and P.J. Hall in the 2018 NFL Draft, defensive tackle depth is still a concern, so they go grab some more bodies, namely Rashard Lawrence out of LSU — one of the biggest bodies they could add.

Lawrence is a big fella at 6-3, 300 pounds, but carries that with a solid build that’s mostly muscle. What’s more, he’s a solid athlete with some really good tools to make you think he can contribute at the next level. As a depth piece behind other young tackles, Lawrence would be coming into a great position for him.

Round 7, Pick 1: Oshane Ximines, EDGE, Old Dominion

One of the best small-school players that not many people have talked about so far this season is Oshane Ximines out of Old Dominion. The edge rusher is a freak athlete that is bursting with potential. In the NFL, he’ll need to refine his technique and, likely, get up to speed with a higher level of competition.

Having said that, the Raiders are starved up front and could use anyone. Ximines would give them a developmental guy in this draft alongside a ready-made product like Bosa, which would be a wise investment for Gruden and Co.

Round 7, Pick 16: Jalen Young, S, Florida Atlantic

Though it hasn’t so much been the case this year, Florida Atlantic safety Jalen Young has been a ballhawk over the start of his career. That peaked last season as he picked off seven balls on the season to lead college football. However, Young lacks NFL size at safety with a slight and smaller frame. Having said that, with the Raiders needing secondary help and depth and having a mid-seventh round pick to burn. Young is a nice flyer to take a chance on.
