Jacksonville Jaguars: Blueprint for defeating Eagles is simple

The Jacksonville Jaguars blueprint to victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8 is simple.
There was total chaos following the Jacksonville Jaguars loss last Sunday. Jacksonville fans were wondering whether their team could ever find a way to win again. However, the team’s blueprint to win against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8 in London is apparent.
Expect Carlos Hyde to play on Sunday. Hyde replaces the injured Leonard Fournette as the power running back. Running the ball is how to defeat the Eagles on Sunday.
In Cleveland’s running back by committee approach, Hyde carried the ball 114 times for 382 yards with five touchdowns. Hyde is physically similar to Fournette at 6-0, 229 pounds. He is the ideal power back for this team.
Jacksonville is constructed to be a run first offense. Injuries have curtailed the effectiveness throughout this season. But that is, now, water under London Bridge. They have to play according to their strength.
Last Sunday, Philadelphia gave up 121 rushing yards on 17 carries to Carolina. The New York Giants gained 147 yards on the Eagles defense the week before. Jacksonville should follow suit and run the ball.
Now, the Jaguars defense will not be able to stop the potent Eagles offense. This defense got shellacked by Kansas City and the Philadelphia offensive scheme is very similar. In this game, the best defense will be the Jaguars running game.
Nathaniel Hackett will have to be creative with the run game. Perhaps he will have Hyde and T.J. Yeldon together in the backfield in certain formation sets. Carolina was effective in misdirection running plays.
Jacksonville’s receivers have had difficulty catching the ball. There have been too many drops. Hackett should play Yeldon in the slot or split out in power run formations. Jacksonville must move the chains to keep the Eagles offense on the sideline.
The blueprint for victory is simple. Run the ball in as many creative ways possible to confuse Philadelphia. As many offensive weapons as the Eagles have, the Jaguars defense will wear out if the Jacksonville offense goes three and out multiple times.
