Germain Ifedi

The Seahawks have one of if not the worst offensive line in football. Ifedi is by far the most egregious player on the line and he was manhandled by defenders through the first few weeks of the season. In Week 1, Von Miller toyed with Ifedi and sacked Wilson three times. The following week, it was Khalil Mack‘s turn.

In the first two games, Wilson was sacked an incredible 12 times. Since then, he has only been brought down seven times. Ifedi’s game has improved, despite still facing competitive pass rushers. The reason Ifedi is on this list isn’t necessarily just because of his play through the first two weeks. He’s here because of his lack of development as a whole.

Back in 2016, Ifedi was Seattle’s first round pick. A lot of pressure and expectations come with being chosen that high. While Ifedi has certainly felt the pressure, he has fallen short of expectations. The 24-year old has continually played below expectations.

The Seahawks offensive line has been a main point of criticism for years now. A big reason why the line has not improved is the lack of proven talent being brought in through the draft.

Ifedi has proven he deserves to be on an NFL team, but that shouldn’t be the Seahawks. If the team really wants to rebuild and get back to winning playoff games, they’ll part ways with Ifedi when his contract ends.
