On Thursday night at NRG Stadium, the rejuvenated Houston Texans played host to the Miami Dolphins. Who stood out in Houston’s big victory?

Entering Week 4, the Houston Texans were riding a nine-game losing streak that had dated back to November 2017. Bill O’Brien’s club was off to a 0-3 start this year, but dropped each of those three contests (to the New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans and New York Giants) by seven points or less.

But then came a wild 37-34 overtime victory at Indianapolis over the Colts. That was followed by some more extra football and a home win over the Dallas Cowboys (19-16). The Texans got back to .500 with a victory over the Buffalo Bills and last Sunday, took over the top spot in the AFC South with a 20-7 triumph at Jacksonville.

Now four days later, O’Brien’s club would host the unpredictable Miami Dolphins with a chance to extend their current winning streak to five games. Houston had its problems early as their guests took a 7-0 lead late in the first quarter.

But it would be all Texans the remainder of the night, although Adam Gase’s club hung around for roughly three quarters. But when it was all said and done, the club came up with 28 second-half points and pulled away for an impressive 42-23 triumph.

Against the Dolphins, it was the Houston offense that wound up stealing the show (although defensive end J.J. Watt got his eighth sack of the season). So which three Texans’ players came up the biggest in this prime time affair?
