Both teams will have running backs go for over 100 yards

The Lions are allowing 139.3 rushing yards per game, which makes them the fourth worst rushing defense in the league. On the other hand, the Seahawks are the ninth worst rushing defense, allowing 120.7 rushing yards per game. Between these two defenses and the running backs they’re facing, the ground game should see a lot of action.

Chris Carson has come to life this season, secured the starting job, and capitalized on the promise he showed in his rookie season. Carson has two 100 yard rushing games this season and is averaging 70.4 yards per game (10th best in the NFL) and 4.5 yards per carry. His two big games came against the Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams which are ranked 10th and 12th in run defense, respectively.

The Lions were infamous for not being able to run the ball entering the season. The team literally went years without having a running back rush for 100 yards in a game. Then rookie second round selection Kerryon Johnson took over the starting job and has crossed the century mark twice this season.

Right now he’s averaging 74 rushing yards per game, that’s good enough to have him ranked eighth in the NFL. Johnson is also putting up a ridiculous 6.4 yards per attempt.
