The Niners dominated the Week 5 encounter with the Cardinals only to be undone by turnovers in what was a deflating loss. Here, we look at five players who will be key to avenging that defeat and giving San Francisco some momentum.
Dante Pettis
Out since injuring his knee in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers, rookie second-round pick Dante Pettis is back in the fold and will likely be counted upon to make a significant contribution with Pierre Garcon ruled out.
Injuries to both have meant Pettis and Marquise Goodwin have been unable to get on the field at the same time. Each superb route runners who excel and getting over the top of defenses, Goodwin and Pettis could well rotate between the X receiver position and the slot, particularly with Trent Taylor struggling because of a back injury.
