The Detroit Lions host the Seattle Seahawks in week eight of the 2018 NFL Season. Here’s all the information you need to watch the game.

It may be too early to look at the playoff picture but the week eight matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions could be one the teams look back on with fondness or regret when that time comes. The NFC features a glut of teams hanging around the .500 mark heading into week eight and both the Seahawks and Lions fit into that group, each with a record of 3-3.

Both teams can feel good about their injury situation as just three players have been given game status designations on the final injury report of the week. For the Lions, running back Theo Riddick has already been ruled out while defensive end Ziggy Ansah and linebacker Jarrad Davis are questionable. The Seahawks have ruled out cornerback Neiko Thorpe and guard Jordan Simmons while defensive end Rasheem Green is questionable.

Part of the healthy situation can be attributed to proximity to the bye week. The Seahawks travel to Detroit fresh off their bye while the Lions are just one game removed from theirs. The Lions returned from their bye last week to get a solid road win at the Miami Dolphins.

Having a healthy roster is sure to give a boost to any roster but the Lions got a different kind of boost to their roster with the addition of Damon Harrison via trade from the New York Giants. Run defense has been a problem area for the Lions but that should start to turn around now that they have added one of the NFL’s premier run defenders in the middle of their defensive line. It will be a quick transition for Harrison but he is expected to make his Lions debut against the Seahawks.
