NFL Power Rankings, Week 9: Rams avoid first loss, Texans white hot

30. Buffalo Bills (29) – Play Monday Night
Through two months of action, the Buffalo Bills have been one of the most difficult teams to figure out in the NFL since for the most part they look like a disaster, but also have put together a few impressive outings. Whether Monday’s meeting with the New England Patriots will turn into one of those games in which they actually look competitive, only time will tell for Sean McDermott’s squad, but it’s certainly not going to be easy.
The fact that Buffalo is going with Derek Anderson under center while Josh Allen continues to be sidelined is the perfect example of the kind of season it’s been for this team, which is a shame after last year’s surprise success. Thanks to their defense emerging as one of the top units in the league last year while earning a Wild Card spot in the AFC, the Bills were another one of those teams that were expected to make another run in 2018, even if their offense was dealing with some issues.
Monday night will be another true test to see where this team currently stands since they currently sit on the bottom of the AFC East at the moment with only two wins to their name. Defeating the Patriots in the national spotlight is always a possibility since this is the NFL, and anything can happen, but also may not be realistic for a team like the Bills at the moment.
