Arizona Cardinals: Everything must go

Come one, come all. The Arizona Cardinals are having a fire sale, and every NFL team is invited! The Cardinals boast one of the league’s worst offensive units, with only 92 points on the entire season, and their defense isn’t all that great either.

The Cardinals have got a couple pieces on the defensive side of the ball, but it’s not much. Right now, cornerback Patrick Peterson and second-year linebacker Haason Reddick are the names buzzing around in the desert as trade candidates.

The marriage between Peterson and the Cardinals is shaky at best, and completely shattered and irreparable at worst. Although Peterson released a statement saying he was committed to Arizona’s turnaround, we know just how quickly things can change in the NFL.

At the very least, the Cardinals have their quarterback. Josh Rosen is a fine passer, and has shown flashes of being the NFL’s “next big thing” if the Cardinals can get him some help. Unfortunately for Rosen, he has absolutely no help, and if the Cardinals want to truly set themselves up for the future, he’ll have even less help come next week.

Aside from Rosen and legendary wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, everything on the Cardinals must go. Anything with trade value needs to get out of the desert, and fast, in order for the Cardinals to truly jumpstart their rebuild. The Cardinals could get premium picks for Peterson, Reddick and maybe even safety Budda Baker. Whatever it is, it needs to go in favor of the future.
