Baltimore Ravens: Offensive skill position depth

The Baltimore Ravens have, since their inception, been known for their defense. In the 2000 NFL season, Baltimore’s defensive unit took Trent Dilfer of all people to a Super Bowl victory. They still rely on their defense nowadays, but they could really move the ball on offense if they added a couple of skill players.

The Ravens don’t need any splash moves, like an Odell Beckham Jr. or LeSean McCoy. They just need to make it known that they are serious about bolstering up their offense. Joe Flacco needs someone else to throw to that isn’t John Brown, and someone to hand off to that isn’t Alex Collins. They could make a big move, if they really wanted, though.

If the Ravens wanted to go all in, they could chase Bears running back Jordan Howard, or even Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell. The latter move is highly unlikely, as the trade would be intra-division, but everyone has a price.

The Ravens are good enough that they could stand pat during the trade deadline and feel totally okay about themselves. If a quarterback-needy team were to call about Robert Griffin III, they could certainly afford to give him away. It’s hard to judge the Ravens, as they don’t really have a ton of huge holes, but they could certainly use depth at their offensive skill positions.
