Cleveland Browns: Trade for any receiver

Anyone currently watching the Cleveland Browns every week knows just how awful their current receivers are. Led by free-agent acquisition Jarvis Landry, the Browns are hurting for anyone else to catch the ball from rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield. Rashard Higgins is hurt, taking out Mayfield’s favorite target, and Antonio Callaway is totally feast or famine.

The Browns need help at receiver in the worst way, and they have a variety of outlets to get one from. Of course, the biggest splash move in the history of splash moves would be the Browns picking up Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Although unlikely, this move could still happen. Rather than OBJ, the Browns should look to another receiver for the Giants.

Sterling Shepard would be a terrific addition to the Cleveland Browns. He’s productive, with sure hands, and would be a great complementary piece to Jarvis Landry. Until Rashard Higgins gets back, the Browns are going to be hurting at receiver. But, Shepard could help them until then, and beyond.

This is one of the moves on this list that is most likely to happen. General manager John Dorsey knows that the Browns have awful receivers, and they have plenty of draft capital to make it happen. There are plenty of routes Cleveland could go, but it seems Shepard is emerging as a top option.
